Q How can we obtain your products?
A
We mainly sell our products directly to the consumer.  This allows us to control quality and to offer the best pricing possible.  We offer free delivery in the Louisville area (orders of $50 or more);  or you can visit us at  "The World's Smallest Beef Shoppe" (215 Parker Drive, LaGrange, KY) Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  We also participate seasonally at local Farmer's Markets (call us for our schedule), or you can order by phone at any time.

Q
Is your beef always available?
A
Due to demand, we may have periods of short supply or certain cuts may be out of stock.  Please call us for availability.

Q
What does hormone-free, steroid-free and low stress have to do with quality meat?
A
Eliminating chemicals of any kind in our beef is important.  Cattle raised using hormones and steroids leaves chemical residue in the beef.  The health issues relative to these residues should be of concern to the consumer.  It should be noted that the European Union has banned the use of growth hormones in cattle and has prohibited the import of hormone treated beef since 1988.  Providing a natural low stress environment for our animals will give you a more flavorful and tender piece of meat.

Q
How does Sherwood Acres Beef compare in price to "Store-bought" beef?
A
When comparing similar grades and cuts of USDA inspected beef, our beef is competitively priced.  As a small farm, we are able to remain competitive by selling directly to consumers.
